Scarborough Ontario Health Team (SOHT) launches a Strategic Plan Refresh to meet community needs
Scarborough, ON — (February 6, 2025) — The Scarborough Ontario Health Team (SOHT) is excited to announce the start of our Strategic Plan Refresh.
It has been almost three (3) years since SOHT created its very first strategic plan: Scarborough Ontario Health Team. Much has changed in that time and we need to review our strategic plan and update it based on current needs and priorities of our diverse community and our health care providers.
The objectives of the Strategic Plan Refresh process are to:
-
- Review SOHT’s existing Vision and Values and make changes as necessary.
- Develop a 3 to 5-year strategic plan with a roadmap outlining how we will achieve the plan (e.g., the different initiatives for each year, recommended outcomes, what it will take for us to succeed and data to measure our success).
There will be opportunities for Scarborough community members and local health care providers to have a voice and share input to the Strategic Plan Refresh.
We are very pleased that a team of very experienced consultants from Health Innovations Group (HIG) will be assisting SOHT with this important process which we aim to complete by June 2025.
“With renewed energy and a shared commitment to advancing health equity, we are thrilled to embark on this strategic plan refresh, ensuring our coalition continues to lead with innovation, collaboration, and impactful solutions for the communities we serve!“- Dr. Larry Erlick and Michele James, Co-Chairs of SOHT’s Collaboration Council
“The Strategic Plan Refresh will bring focus and prioritize equity and inclusion to better serve Scarborough’s population, regardless of their background or circumstances,” added Jeanie Argiropoulos, Co-Chair of SOHT’s Governance Committee
“With this Strategic Plan Refresh, we are poised to propel our SOHT into an even stronger future, creating lasting impact and equity-focused innovative solutions that improve the health and well-being of Scarborough”, said Surkhab Peerzada, Director of SOHT.
“As co-chairs of the Client and Family Advisory Committee, we are confident that this strategic plan refresh will ensure that the voices and needs of those we serve are at the heart of everything we do moving forward!” – Jan Haskings and Dr. Abdul Fattah, Co-chairs of Client and Family Advisory Committee
